a special thanks to all who made it out for this years fan expo. it was great meeting and sketching for you all.

as fate would have it i forgot my camera. but i did manage to lean over a few tables and grab my friend andy b’s camera when the thought finally occurred to me!

so here are a few snaps of some sketches i did. i wish i had better copies, but what can you do…

it was quite pleasant to hear the many requests for kukuburi prints of which, i unfortunately, had none. it’s been a crazy summer, but next year i promise you swag galore, a prints sooner than that… 

alright it’s not really an extravaganza as i only managed to snap a couple shots of the multitude of commissions i did at the toronto comicon a couple weekends ago. i can’t believe almost two weeks have flown by since that show! man. i want to post some of the cool work i’m doing right now, it’s really fun stuff, but unfortunately it’s all a big no-no till the official product is out! damn it.

i’m gonna try to doodle some fun stuff on the side to post here. something akin to morning warmups. 

till then here are the two sketches i snapped pictures of before my camera died. we have hulk in his mr. fixit garb chillin’ out with a tumbler of whisky and jonah hex!

since i’m up to my eyeballs in life, but yet in a sharing mood, i thought i’d post a convention sketch of mr. sherlock holmes i did earlier this year at the hobbystar fan appreciation show…

the first (which was i think my first doodle of the show) is of luna moth (uhm - i think, a character from the escapist) and the other is of stargirl… uhm i think again, i’m terrible at this.

first off thanks to everyone for coming out to the toronto paradise con this past weekend, it was great to meet you all!!

over the course of the weekend we, the boys of RAID studio as well as a few guest stars, did up an art jam on a large piece of illustration board. at the end of the show the piece was auctioned off to the highest bidder, the lucky man being kevin boyd, one of the blokes who runs the con!

we had so much fun doing the piece, i think we’re going to try and tackle on every con!

can anyone identify every character on the page? extra points if you can match the drawing with the artist! HINT…. there’s a rogue sketch in there by a mystery guest who does not appear in the photo.

a quick doodle of our favourite big lug from lost, hurley.

this was a sketch i did up for a fan at a local one day comic show held this past sunday. it was something out of the ordinary for a request, so i thought i’d share…

a con sketch with a dash of colour!

whenever i’m st a con it is inevitable that i will at some point be asked if i were working in comics what character would i love to draw. i have a pretty short list - and doc strange is on it.

this past weekend i was a guest at the ‘toronto comic fan super show!’ (i don’t name these - i just attend) and had a grand ol’ time. i doodled up a variety of requests for the super show fans, everything from the aluring dragonlady to the dapper joker. alas the only one i have a copy of is the latter crazy fellow, so without further ado, embelished with my patented 10¢ dab of colour, may i introduce the clown prince of crime…
