so many moons ago mr. j. bone handed off some pinup girl templates for myself and a few friends to doodle our own girls over top. well the other cats finished theirs by the following week. me i took much longer cause, well, i’m really good at procrastinating…

here’s what i came up with.

the 90 min sketch-off! from the other day was mr. dredd. you can find the inked version on the RAID blog already, so for this post i added what i like to call the “10¢ colour job.”

here’s todays pre-degrassi inking warm-up! i corrected her upper torso a bit as it looked kinda wonky in the blue line sketch.

well yesterday saw me attending the COMIC FAN SUPER SHOW! nice relaxing day meeting fans, doing sketches and hangin’ with some really talented folks. i had the pleasure of meeting sean {cheeks} galloway and his wife alina. two extremely talented artists. i suggest you peruse their sites as soon as you get a chance…

inbetween sketching for the good folks wandering the isles i did up some doodles for myself. these are just blue line sketches but i hope to ink them up as some warm ups later this week.

my new years resolution this year was to start each day by doing warm up sketches since 99% of the time whatever i’m doodling is work related. needless to say that didn’t happen.

well, yesterday i was perusing the blogs of a couple folks whose work i admire; mike weringo and eric canete. both these gentlemen keep producing great amounts of fantastic work for their respective blogs. so, frustrated with myself, i finally decided to get off my keister and follow eric canete’s template of the 90min pinup. i don’t think i’ll be able to do this daily yet, but hopefully soon.

the topic suggestion of showcasing two memebers of alpha flight was made by steve manale. in the end the image took me 105min, which ain’t so bad.

waaaay back in 1999 i wrote and illustrated a comic for palladium books set in their rpg world of rifts. i really fell in love with the characters i created for this story. so when i was recently asked to contribute a pinup for the rifter swimsuit special i decided to revist said characters with the sexy anika in the forefront. so fly out to your local store and pick up the official rifter swimsuit edition and check out the rest of the fabulous pinups by palladiums artistic entourage…
